What we collect

When you join the beta we store:

• your email address
• when you signed up
• which page you signed up on
• the country your request came from, as reported by our host
• which version of the sign-up wording you saw

We don't store your IP address or details about your browser or device.

Why

To email you when the SEG_F4ULT beta opens. Buttondown also sends one email first so you can confirm the address is yours. We don't use your address for anything else, and we don't sell or share it.

Who handles it

• Buttondown sends the emails. It receives your email address, the page you signed up on and your IP address, which it uses to screen out spam sign-ups.
• Vercel hosts this site and runs the sign-up.
• Upstash stores the sign-up list, through Vercel.

Abuse protection

To stop automated sign-ups we count attempts per connection for ten minutes. We only keep a one-way hash of the IP address for that count, never the address itself, and it isn't linked to your email.

Analytics and cookies

We count page views with Vercel Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and doesn't build a profile of you. This site sets no cookies.

The SEG_F4ULT app

The app has no accounts and collects no personal data. It has no analytics, no ads and no tracking.

• The camera, the microphone and the clips you pick stay on your device. Effects, including the ones that find people and faces, run on your device. Nothing you film or load is uploaded.
• Recordings are saved to your Photos, or go wherever you share them, only when you choose to.
• The app asks for the camera and microphone to play live, for permission to add recordings to Photos, and for Bluetooth to connect MIDI devices. You can turn any of these off in Settings.
• To run, the app downloads its own updates from Vercel and the people and face models from Google and jsDelivr. Like any website, those servers see your IP address when they send the files. The app sends them nothing else.

Unsubscribe or delete your data
